FAQ
Common questions about tire pile cleanup
How do you price a tire pile cleanup?
We price by tire count or by ton, depending on the project. Passenger tires are $4.00 each; semi tires $22.00; super singles $44.00; OTR and farm tires are quoted individually. Large projects are often priced per ton at $225โ$325/ton depending on tire mix and site conditions. We provide a written quote after a site assessment.
Do you handle buried tires?
Yes. Buried tires require excavation equipment and add cost to the project. We assess burial depth and soil conditions during the site visit and include excavation in the quote if needed.
Can grants cover cleanup costs?
For municipalities, counties, and nonprofits, yes โ in some cases. We work with the South Carolina Tire Recovery Network (SCTRN) on grant-eligible cleanup projects. Private property owners typically don't qualify, but we can help you explore options.
How long does a cleanup take?
Small cleanups (under 500 tires) can often be completed in a single day. Medium projects (500โ5,000 tires) typically take 2โ5 days. Large remediation projects are scheduled over multiple weeks depending on volume and site access.
What documentation do I receive?
You receive a signed DHEC manifest for every load removed, a final tire count summary, and a project completion letter. This documentation protects you from future liability and satisfies DHEC requirements.
Are you DHEC registered?
Yes. Eco Tire Solutions LLC holds SC DHEC Waste Tire Hauler Permit #WTH000541. All tires are transported to a permitted processing facility.
